I went skydiving for the first time last Sunday for the purposes of writing about it in my www.DiscomfortBlog.com where I am trying 101 new things in 2012 that I've never done before. To my surprise I was not frightened going into the jump, and found the experience to be very relaxing. I'm wondering if other people have felt the same way, because everyone else I've talked to who has also done it speaks of a completely different experience. If interested, you can see what I'm talking about in my blog. It contains pictures and video from the event.
Thank you.

But some of these skydiving myths are pretty funny. I just saw CSI: Miami and they are saying it is airplane pilot’s responsibility to calibrate altimeter. I guess more exposure is better for sports even some of them are totally myth/wrong information...?? What do you think?

I am paraplegic. I've only done one skydive, in orlando 18,000ft.

I am now totally hooked.

What I would like to ask if anyone can recommend or advise on the best ways to land safely. As unfortunately when I landed on my dive the people on the ground didn't get to us on time and I broke my femur.

It's healing but I'm eager to find out how I can do it a bit safer next time.

Any tips and advice would be greatly received.

Hi everyone

I have only just started. I did one skydive in Orlando last August.
It was my first jump and it was 18,000ft.
I had originally paid for the same jump as my hubbys Xmas present, but whilst waiting for him to come down I was asked if I would like to have a go. I found myself saying yes.
I had never wanted to jump. I hate heights.
But now I am addicted.

I have loads to learn.

I should mention, I am paraplegic after a riding accident 16 years ago. So things are different but up in the sky I was the same as everyone else.
