The tandem jump is worth every penny that you pay to do the jump, and you can't put a price on living, so give it a shot and feel the freedom! Technology and advancement with the gear, has made the tandem jump much safer than it was 15 years ago.
The tandem skydive is such a wonderful experience. It lets you experience the thrill of skydiving without having to take a 4-6 hour course. The price for a tandem jump is usually about $100 cheaper than taking an actual AFF (Accelerated Free Fall) class, and you can make your jump much sooner with a tandem jump because of eliminating the 4-6 hour AFF class. The tandem jump is less stressful and also more relaxing than than the AFF jump because you have less responsibility to worry about on a tandem jump.
Most drop zones are busy on the weekends because that is when most of the world is off of work and can only jump, so your wait for a tandem jump on the weekends may be a few hours unless you arrive early. If you schedule your tandem jump during the weekdays (Monday through Friday) your wait may be much shorter than the wait on the weekend.
The tandem is the quickest and safest way to make a skydive. After your tandem jump, you can then decide if you want to proceed into the rest of your skydiving adventure and spend 4-6 hours of training for an AFF course.
